Thou art war.
Thou art the red rider of the apocalypse.....rock on!
In this book you have Melissa, a walking glass jar, having every emotion bottled up inside. Using a blade she finds release from her pain, a way to breathe as she describes it, and a place of contentment. Until one day all her bottled emotion comes screaming out in one night of horrific embarrassment and betrayal, causing her to push the blade to deep and the pale rider to come. She is then given a choice, become the red rider of apocalypse, embrace war, or die. From there it is a battle for control, trying to find a way to keep those emotions neither bottled up nor set free in a blood bath of rage and pain.
So far I really enjoy Jackie's books and I am looking forward to seeing what "Loss" has to offer. If you are looking for a little twist on the four horseman of the apocalypse then I strongly recommend these books.
